Rock Sat Founder

P. Daniel Messiah

Is a former Muslim who converted to Christianity in 1979 while living in Egypt as young adult. Curious about what happens in the Christian churches, he set out to visit one with the intent to identify faults.

Instead, he was touched by the Lord and was brought to faith in Jesus Christ.

For sharing the love of Christ with his countrymen, he was imprisoned for eight months. He boldly shared the Gospel with his captors and was eventually granted his freedom. Upon release, he moved to Spain where he and his wife were missionaries.

In 1984, he moved to Michigan to help plant an Arabic church, and then assisted in establishing Arabic churches in Orange County and San Diego.

Daniel received his Masters of Divinity from Bethel Seminary in 1995. He is a pastor at the San Diego First Assembly of God and is on the teaching staff at Christian Heritage College, Maranatha school and Linda Vista Bible College. He leads seminars training Christians in how to reach out to Muslims and answer their objections.

Daniel established Open the Gates ministry and became the founder and host of an Arabic outreach TV program “The Rock” which broadcasts internationally to more than 30 million Muslims.

Daniel’s book, Traitor to Islam, ministers to both Christians and Muslims. "Traitor" is the miraculous account of one man’s coming to Christ in a country where the penalty for such an act is death.
